Job summary

DoorDash Drive leads the cost and capacity strategy for the sort network, partnering with the Sort Operations & Network Strategy leader to scale footprint cost-effectively. The role focuses on forecasting capacity, driving automation investments, and managing real estate and 3PL partnerships across the US, Canada, and Australia.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in network strategy or logistics, strong financial fluency, and proven ability to influence cross-functionally while negotiating

Qualifications

• Analytical thinker with a strong grasp of financial modeling and ROI trade-offs.
• Experience negotiating commercial contracts (3PL, real estate, or vendor).
• Track record leading or influencing automation and capex decisions.
• Able to operate effectively across functions without direct authority.
• 6+ years in network strategy, logistics, procurement, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning for the sort network with forward-looking models.
• Drive automation investments to reduce cost per unit while preserving quality.
• Lead site selection and lease negotiations for new sort facilities in collaboration with Real Estate and Finance.
• Negotiate and optimize terms with 3PL partners to improve cost, terms, and service levels.
• Develop a multi-provider network to reduce concentration risk and strengthen negotiating leverage.
• Collaborate with Finance, Real Estate, Automation Engineering, and Sort Quality to align cost strategy with growth targets.
