Job summary

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Champion for FedEx’s Safety Above All Culture and support related initiatives.
• Manage hiring, terminations, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, performance evaluation and management, discipline, and staff productivity.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day sort operations.
• Ensure the sort runs to safety, quality and service standards and meets cost/productivity goals.
• Oversee daily visual inspections of loads for quality and accuracy.
• Set strategic goals and plan sort strategy based on volume and headcount.
• Direct and guide the sort management team on daily goals and updates.
• Foster a safety-conscious culture and administer safety programs.
