Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Polymer Center Sort Line Operator to oversee and operate the Sort Line at the Polymer Center, ensuring adherence to safety programs and standards while performing basic troubleshooting to keep the line running smoothly.

This role requires executing the manufacturing plan on the shift, inspecting equipment, and monitoring production and waste materials. Teamwork, safety, and reliable operation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or recycling experience.
• Customer service skills; professional and cooperative with customers and co-workers.
• Strong time management to ensure responsibilities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Good follow through ability; adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Works to remove unsafe conditions or situations from the Sorting process of the Polymer Center.
• Executes the Sort Line manufacturing plan on their given shift.
• Performs pre- and post-operation inspections of the Sort Line equipment to ensure safe operations.
• Maintains strong working knowledge of Sort Line equipment and operates safely and efficiently.
• Continuously monitors production and waste materials for evidence of unacceptable product and/or waste.
• Performs and documents minor service on equipment; refers major repairs to Leads or Maintenance.
