Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Wash Line Operator for the Polymer Center in Indianapolis to oversee and operate grinding and wash line processes, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards. The role emphasizes hands-on operation, basic troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The position requires 1 year of manufacturing/recycling experience, strong safety awareness, and reliable teamwork to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or recycling experience.
• Good customer services skills; acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers.
• Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Good follow through ability; ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Remove unsafe conditions or situations from Grinding and Wash Line processes.
• Execute the Grinding and Wash Line manufacturing plan on the given shift.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safe operations.
• Operate Grinding and Washing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production and waste materials for evidence of unacceptable product or waste.
• Maintain equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed.
