Job summary

Republic Services in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Polymer Center Lead Operator to direct a team of Operators, Forklift Operators, Sorters, and other equipment operators for efficient Polymer Center operations on the night shift. You will enforce safety programs, maintain equipment, monitor production, and support maintenance while striving to meet division goals.

Qualifications

• Direct staff to execute the shift plan on their assigned shift (team leadership).
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure safe operations.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Sorting, Grinding, and Washing equipment and operate as needed.
• Monitor production and waste to identify unacceptable product or waste.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff in executing the manufacturing plan on their shift.
• Perform inspections to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Keep equipment ready and safe to minimize downtime.
• Document and report maintenance needs and minor service on equipment.
• Drive safety, quality, and customer satisfaction as a company representative.
• Foster teamwork and develop staff for advancement.
