Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a Sonographer in Mason City, IA to perform ultrasound exams across OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts and related procedures, while assisting radiologists and teaching students.

The role requires ARDMS registration or board-eligibility with ARDMS within a year, ongoing CME maintenance, and BLS within 30 days of hire, with training and growth opportunities across MercyOne Health System.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered or board-eligible with ARDMS within one year.
• Active ARDMS registry status with CME maintenance (30 CME’s every 3 years).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and every 2 years.

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Sonographer!

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff

Schedule:

• Weekends
• Work 2 12-hour shifts (24 hours) and get paid 36.

General Requirements:

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.
