Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Mason City, IA is seeking a part-time Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams and assist radiologists. 20 hours per week, daytime hours with holiday rotation. ARDMS registration is required, with board eligibility considered if not yet certified.

• Maintains active registry with ARDMS (CMEs every 3 years).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and every 2 years.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Sonographer!

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff

Schedule

• 20 hours a week
• Daytime hours
• Holiday rotation

General Requirements

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME's every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.
