Job summary

MercyOne in Dubuque is seeking a Sonographer for the night shift. You will perform ultrasound exams across OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and other areas, supporting radiologists and providing training to students and staff.

Relocation and sign-on bonus are available; ARDMS-credentialed candidates are preferred, with board-eligibility acceptable within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered with RDMS/RDCS/RVT/RMSKS or board-eligible within 12 months.
• ARDMS preferred; ARRT or CCI accepted as alternative.
• Maintain ARDMS CME requirements (30 CME’s every 3 years).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff
• Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, Values, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions

Schedule

• Night shift
• 40 hours per week
• Mon- Thurs: 6:30p - 5:00a for 5 weeks
• Tues - Fri: 6:30p - 5:00a for 6th week
• Every 6th weekend
• Emergent call coverage if needed and for holidays

General Requirements

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME's every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
