Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA seeks a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to perform OB/GYN, general and small parts ultrasound examinations in accordance with department protocols.

You will ensure safe operation of equipment, adhere to regulatory standards, and support patient care across a day shift that includes Sundays. ARDMS registration or eligibility and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Twelve month internship in diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent recent directly-related work experience.
• Must be registered by ARDMS, or registry eligible.
• BLS certification.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This job is responsible for performing OB/GYN, General and small parts ultrasound examinations at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of ultrasound equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Recent completion of a twelve (12) month internship in diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent recent directly-related work experience.


• Must be registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (A.R.D.M.S.), or be registry eligible.


• BLS
