Job summary

Penn State Health – St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform routine diagnostic imaging as directed by physicians. The role requires ARRT eligibility or registration and BLS certification prior to orientation.

Shift is varied with evening and night differentials. This PRN position supports patient care across the radiology service line.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• ARRT registration or eligibility is required.
• AHA BLS certification required prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiology equipment to produce diagnostic imaging films as directed by physicians.
• Performs routine diagnostic radiology procedures.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Operates radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic imaging films as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology, equivalent on the job training, or military service or course.
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) or be registry eligible.
  
• American Heart Association BLS required prior to completion of orientation.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)

• Within the last two years, one year of experience as a radiology technologist preferred.
