St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a skilled Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer to perform obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound exams with high-quality imaging and clinical collaboration. The role supports physicians and care teams, ensuring safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced MFM setting.

The position emphasizes independent judgment, ongoing quality assurance, and efficient management of imaging resources within the Maternity Division.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS RDMS credential with OB/GYN Registry is required.
• Preferred: ARDMS specialty in Fetal Echocardiography (FE) or eligible.
• Maternall-Fetal Medicine ultrasound experience is beneficial.
• Demonstrates independent work and collaboration with physicians.

Position Summary:

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer performs specialized obstetrical and gynecologic diagnostic ultrasound examinations and provides clinically relevant information to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The sonographer is responsible for managing assigned supplies and equipment, maintaining imaging quality standards, and promoting teamwork among all members of the healthcare team. This role requires independent critical thinking and strong clinical judgment while working collaboratively with MFM physicians and multidisciplinary care teams. Duties are performed in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) office is a small, welcoming, and newly remodeled practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to every patient, every time. Sonographers in our practice work with a high degree of professional independence while having access to imaging support when needed. We are proud to partner collaboratively with a highly skilled team of Telehealth Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, creating an environment that combines autonomy, expertise, and teamwork to deliver outstanding maternal and fetal care.

This position offers generous scanning appointment times, allowing sonographers to focus on quality patient care and diagnostic excellence. There are no on-call responsibilities, no weekends, and no holiday requirements. The patient population consists primarily of scheduled outpatients, with occasional inpatient imaging needs within the Maternity Division.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

Licensure:

• Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(S)
• Required: ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential with current OB/GYN Registry
• Preferred: ARDMS specialty certification in Fetal Echocardiography (FE) or eligibility to obtain the credential

Experience:

• Maternal-Fetal Medicine and high-risk obstetrical ultrasound experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members.
