Job summary

Women's Care is seeking a Sonographer for our MFM clinic to perform ultrasound exams, including routine and specialized procedures, with emphasis on OB-GYN imaging and fetal assessments.

The role requires ARDMS OB-GYN and Nuchal Translucency certifications, plus 1–2 years of MFM experience, and 3D-4D scan capability. You will document findings in EMR and collaborate with clinicians, while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Must have ARDMS OB-GYN certification and Nuchal Translucency cert.
• Fetal Echo certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum of 1-2 years MFM experience.
• Experience with 3D-4D scans.
• Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams including routine and specialized MFM procedures.
• Conduct nuchal translucency scans per established standards.
• Complete fetal surveys, Fetal Echo, and 3D-4D scans.
• Perform transvaginal sonography and biophysical profile exams.
• Document/update information in patient’s EMR.
• Assist providers with Amniocentesis and CVS procedure.
• Represent clinic professionally and participate in meetings and development activities.

The Sonographer for our MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) clinic performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed.

• Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines.
• Completes detailed fetal surveys and Fetal Echo exams.
• Performs fetal doppler when appropriate.
• Performs biophysical profile exams.
• Performs 3D-4D scans.
• Performs transvaginal sonography.
• Evaluates the images for their quality, but also interprets what was captured in the image.
• Assists providers with Amniocentesis and CVS procedure.
• Documents/updates information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
• Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
• Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
• Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid ARDMS certification with a specialty in OBGYN.
• Nuchal Translucency certification.
• Must have Fetal Echo certification or be able to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent MFM experience.
• Experience with 3D-4D scans.
• Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
• Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
