Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a part-time ultrasound Sonographer to help generate high-quality diagnostic images and guide patients through exams. You will work closely with physicians and the imaging team to ensure timely review of images and clinical information.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, adherence to protocols, and clinical judgment to optimize each study. Education and ARRT/ARDMS certification within 6 months are required.

Formación

• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.

Responsabilidades

• Create high-quality diagnostic images by combining knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ultrasound equipment expertise.
• Guide patients through exams, adapting approach to age, condition and needs while keeping them informed and comfortable.
• Use clinical judgment to optimize each study, following established protocols while prioritizing image quality and patient safety.
• Evaluate images in real time for quality, accuracy and completeness, making adjustments as needed.
• Keep care moving by partnering with physicians and imaging team and ensuring images and clinical information are ready for timely review.

Facility: New Hanover Regional Medical Center | Location: Wilmington, NC | Position Type: Part-Time| Work Schedule: Monday 6:30am-7:00pm and Friday 7:30am-8:00pm

What You'll Do

• Create high-quality diagnostic images by combining your knowledge of anatomy and pathology with your technical expertise at the ultrasound equipment.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Education: Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.

Preferred

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
