Job summary

Novant Health in Salisbury, NC is seeking a Sonographer I to join our acute care team at Rowan Medical Center. This PRN role supports diagnostic imaging and patient care across exams.

You will operate ultrasound equipment, prepare patients, and assist physicians to obtain high-quality diagnostic scans. The position requires ARRT or ARDMS certification eligibility and an associate degree.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year equivalent required.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program.
• AR RT/S or ARDMS certification preferred within 6 months of hire.

What You'll Do

The Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
