Job summary

Novant Health in the Charlotte region is seeking a PRN Sonographer I to join our acute care imaging team. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound studies and prepare patients for examinations.

Requirements include an Associate degree (2-year) and ARRT or ARDMS certification in Sonography, with at least one year of experience preferred; ARRT/ARDMS credentials within 6 months of hire may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred; Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in Sonography preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT or ARDMS certification in Sonography or one specialty; ARRT/ARDMS credentials within 6 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and/or therapeutic ultrasound procedures; prepare patient and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

What You'll Do

The Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience:One year experience in Sonography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
