Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Sonographer to support physicians in diagnostic procedures. You will prepare patients and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality scans, contributing to accurate diagnoses.

Minimum 2-year/associate degree preferred; ARRT- or CAAHEP-certified programs required; licensure/certification in ARRT or ARDMS within 6 months; at least 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
• Licensure/ Certification: ARRT in Sonography or ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty (RT(S) or ARDMS) within 6 months of hire, required.

What We Offer

The Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
