Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Sonographer I for the Ultrasound department at Forsyth Medical Center. This Per Diem (PRN) role supports the 1st shift with diagnostic ultrasound procedures and close collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.

Ideal candidates have an Associate Degree and ARRT/ARDMS certification, with at least one year of sonography experience preferred.

What You'll Do
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures with accuracy and compassion.
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams to provide precise and timely diagnostic information.
  • Ensure the comfort, dignity, and safety of each patient throughout their imaging experience.
  • Maintain high standards for image quality, safety, and compliance.
What We're Looking For
  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire, required.
    • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
    • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS, required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.
