Description -

As a sonographer, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring various health conditions, all while working with cutting-edge technology. Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards.
  • Ensure exams are coded, tracked, networked, and charges entered via RIS and ISITE systems.
  • Responsible for high-level disinfection of devices, supplies, and equipment.
  • Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation.
  • Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol during procedures.
  • Review patient history and physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition; document patient history electronically.
  • Perform technical ultrasound procedures, correlating patient history, lab data, and physical findings for medical diagnosis under physician supervision.
  • Interact effectively with patients and co-workers, displaying care, listening, dignity, and respect.
  • Work as a team member within the department and across departments to expedite patient care.
  • Utilize ultrasound instrumentation, demonstrating knowledge of equipment operations and scanning techniques for optimized image documentation; complete procedures according to protocol.

Shift: Various shifts starting no earlier than 7 a.m. and ending no later than 8 p.m. Shifts include rotating weekends, rotating Saturdays, and on-call duties. The expected shifts are 7AM-3:30PM, 7:45AM-4:15PM, 9:30AM-6PM
