Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is hiring a Full-Time Sonographer! Join us to help improve healthcare experiences daily. We welcome qualified professionals from all backgrounds to become part of our team of physicians and staff.

Position Summary

Perform high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations and procedures. Receive training in the use and maintenance of ultrasound imaging and recording systems used in the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up ultrasound and procedure equipment; position patients appropriately; operate ultrasound machines with or without physician guidance (including SIS, amniotic fluid assessment, fetal viability, detailed and complete obstetric ultrasound, biometry, fetal wellbeing assessments, fetal Doppler studies, fetal echocardiograms, CVS, amniocentesis, first-trimester screening).
• Generate reports on examinations and procedures; ensure they are sent to the referring physician.
• Submit billing with appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Demonstrate techniques and procedures to students and residents as assigned.
• Perform decontamination on equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Current and valid certification in Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) for first-trimester nuchal translucency, obtained within one year of hire.
• Current and valid certification in OB/GYN with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• At least 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching above shoulder level in a clinical setting.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Exposure to healthcare environments requiring PPE.
• Manual dexterity for operating equipment and computers.
