BB Imaging in the Houston metro area is seeking an experienced OB/MFM sonographer for a PRN position. You will perform diagnostic imaging, travel to clinic sites, review patient data, and communicate findings to physicians within a supportive, sonographer-led culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty.
• 1+ years OB/GYN sonography experience.
• Knowledge of anatomy, terminology and ultrasound physics.
• Strong communication and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic procedures and generate diagnostic reports.
• Travel to clinic sites within the assigned Houston metro area.
• Review patient history, charts and tests to support accurate interpretations.
• Communicate findings to the physician and assist in procedures as needed.
• Maintain equipment and restock rooms to ensure readiness.
• Engage in CMEs and ongoing professional development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Perform sonographic procedures
• Travel to clinic sites within your assigned area
• Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history
• Create reports to assist the physician with documentation
• Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule-out patient/fetus anomalies
• Communicate sonographic findings to physician
• Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis
• Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery
• Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance
• Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs
• Other duties assigned by managers

IS THIS YOU?

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty
• 1+ years OB/GYN sonography experience
• Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty
• Knowledge of applied physics related to ultrasound
• Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future

DO YOU SCORE ANY BONUS POINTS?

• Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE)
• Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, and Cervical Length
• 1+ years high-risk OB and or MFM sonography experience
• Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study

RISK OF EXPOSURE TO BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS:Category 1 - Tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
