Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Sonographer to perform comprehensive ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal and breast imaging. The role includes assisting radiologists, teaching staff and students, and upholding Trinity Health Mission in daily practice. Night shift, full-time with relocation and sign-on bonus offers.

Candidates must hold ARDMS credentials or be board-eligible with ARDMS within a year; ARRT/CCI accepted. BLS within 30 days and updates every two years are required.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with ARDMS with one of the following: RDMS, RDCS, RVT or RMSKS
• If not registered, be board-eligible and register with ARDMS within one year of hire
• ARDMS preferred but ARRT or CCI also accepted
• Maintains active ARDMS registry status (CME requirements)
• BLS required within 30 days of hire and every two years thereafter

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff
• Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, Values, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions

Schedule :

Night shift

40 hours per week

Mon- Thurs: 6:30p - 5:00a for 5 weeks

Tues - Fri: 6:30p - 5:00a for 6th week

Every 6th weekend

Emergent call coverage if needed and for holidays

General Requirements :

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)
• If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME's every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
