Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa is seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and other related procedures. The role includes providing support to radiologists and teaching staff and students, with emphasis on accurate documentation.

Schedule is 36 hours per week, night shift from 8:00 pm to 8:30 am, Thursday through Saturday. ARDMS certification and ongoing CME maintenance are required, with BLS within 30 days of hire and every two years.

• Active registry status and CME maintenance required.
• BLS certification and mandatory reporter training within specified timelines.

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies; provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff

Schedule: 36 hours a week 8:00 pm - 8:30 am Thursday, Friday & Saturday

General Requirements:

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)
• If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME's every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.
