Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is hiring a Sonographer for a full-time day shift. The role involves performing ultrasound exams (OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts), assisting radiologists, and teaching staff. Requires ARDMS registry (RDMS/RDCS/RVT/RMSKS) or eligibility with ARDMS and BLS.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following: RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMSKS
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two years thereafter

Responsibilities

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records
• Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

General Requirements:

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)
• If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
