Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, and other related procedures. You will support radiologists, assist in teaching, and uphold MercyOne’s mission and values in daily practice.

The position offers a night shift schedule, 40 hours weekly, with weekend coverage and on-call/emergent duties as needed. A comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with ARDMS with one of the following: RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RMSKS.
• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years

Responsibilities

As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will:

• Perform Ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related Ultrasound procedures as necessary on scheduled or emergent basis and maintains related records

Schedule

• Night shift

• 40 hours per week

• Mon- Thurs: 6:30p - 5:00a for 5 weeks

• Tues - Fri: 6:30p - 5:00a for 6th week

• Every 6th weekend

• Emergent call coverage if needed and for holidays

General Requirements

Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)

If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.

• ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted

• Maintains active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment)

• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter
