The Advanced Sonographer performs general diagnostic ultrasound exams and related data collection for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician. Responsibilities include performing all cardiac ultrasound (echocardiograms) and routine vascular exams to evaluate potential vascular abnormalities or diseases. Exams are digitally acquired, and measurements are obtained according to specific modality protocols. The ultrasound tech ensures patient safety by adhering to procedure protocols and policies. The role may require taking calls as needed.
