Sonesta International Hotels in New Orleans seeks a passionate Sommelier to curate wine programs across outlets and events, delivering elevated guest experiences.

You will train staff, pair wines, collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams, manage inventory, and drive beverage sales while upholding Sonesta's People People culture. Flexibility for evenings, weekends and events is essential.

Formación

• Previous sommelier, beverage service, or fine dining experience.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and pairings.
• Wine certifications preferred (CMS, WSET or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and guest engagement skills.
• Ability to drive beverage sales through recommendations.
• Organizational skills for inventory and cellar operations.

Responsabilidades

• Curate and manage hotel wine programs across outlets and events.
• Provide elevated guest service with wine pairings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams on pairings and seasonal offerings.
• Train staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling.
• Monitor wine inventory, ordering, and cellar management.
• Support beverage sales growth through tastings, events, and promotions.
• Maintain proper wine presentation, opening, decanting, and storage procedures.
• Assist with banquets, VIP experiences, weddings, and events as needed.
