Job summary

Sentry is seeking a Solutions Engineer to help our largest customers embed Sentry into their applications and workflows, from integrating our SDK to ensuring alerts and issues reach the right place at the right time.

You will translate customer pain points into practical onboarding plans, develop best practices and content on error and performance management, and advise customers on instrumenting software engineering and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Solutions Engineer (preferred), Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, or Software Developer with experience leading projects and/or working with customers.
• Hands‑on experience with programming languages and frameworks including JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, React, React Native, Mobile Native (iOS and/or Android).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Problem solver, knowledgable, and can-doer.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers' pain points and objectives and translate those into implementation and onboarding plans to meet those objectives and demonstrate business value.
• Develop best practices, educational offerings, and content around error and performance management, open-source, or the Sentry product (e.g.: how-to articles and videos).
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert for customers to assist with instrumenting software engineering and monitoring best practices.
• Provide workshop‑level interaction to customers to drive maturity and broader adoption.
• Work cross‑functionally to provide feedback to product and development teams and align Sentry's roadmap with improving time to value.
