Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a Solutions Engineer to drive data streaming initiatives, act as a technical advisor, and enable customers from concept to Go-Live. You will collaborate with Account Executives to surface business needs and design technical solutions that deliver value and adoption of Confluent technology.

Responsibilities include leading PoCs, conducting discovery workshops, and delivering technical talks to customers ranging from developers to enterprise architects.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in Solutions Engineering or related field.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, data integration/processing, and data warehouse tech.
• Exposure to cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and app development.
• Experience with automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL.
• Technical certifications in Cloud Developer/Architect, Data Engineering & Integration.

Responsibilities

• Advance new data streaming use-cases from concept to Go-Live.
• Lead technical proofs of concept.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to design new use-cases.
• Provide thought leadership with technical talks and workshops.
• Guide customers with hands-on help to mature Confluent deployments.
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering; advocate for the product across stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders as a trusted partner.
