Job summary

IBM Global Sales seeks a Solutions Engineer to partner with Account Executives, surface customer business needs, and design technical solutions that drive digital transformation and lasting impact.

You will lead discovery sessions, run technical proofs of concept, deliver workshops, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to enable customers and accelerate deployment maturity of Confluent technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or similar field.
• Experience with Event-Driven architecture, data integration and processing.
• Exposure to Cloud Architecture, migrations, deployment, and app development.
• Experience with automation and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
• Technical certifications in Cloud, Data Engineering or Integration.
• Strong self-starter, eager to learn and tackle hard problems.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; able to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advance new and innovative data streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live.
• Lead technical proofs of concept and PoC execution.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to design new use-cases.
• Provide thought leadership via technical talks and workshops.
• Guide customers with hands-on help to mature their deployment practices.
• Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering; advocate for customers across partner ecosystem.
• Build relationships with customer stakeholders and act as a dependable partner.
