Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a Solutions Engineer to bridge customers with Confluent technology, driving data streaming use-cases from concept to Go-Live. You’ll work with Account Executives as the technical advisor, surfacing business needs and crafting designs to meet them.

You will lead proofs of concept, conduct discovery sessions, and deliver technical talks to showcase best practices. Strong communication and collaboration are essential as you help customers mature their deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Solutions Engineering or similar role.
• Experience with Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration & Processing tech.
• Cloud architecture, migrations, deployment, and app development exposure.
• Experience with automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
• Technical certifications in Cloud/Data domains.
• Strong self-starter, eager to learn and solve hard problems.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advance new data streaming use-cases from concept to Go-Live.
• Lead technical proofs of concept.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions for new use-cases.
• Deliver technical talks and workshops for thought leadership.
• Guide customers with hands-on help to mature deployment practices.
• Analyze customer consumption and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering; advocate for customers.
