Location: New York City | Hybrid | Full-Time

A rapidly scaling consultancy at the forefront of data transformation is seeking a Solutions Engineer (Data & Cloud Analytics) to join its go-to-market organization. This role blends technical acumen, commercial impact, and consultative storytelling to help enterprise clients unlock the full value of their modern data investments. If you thrive at the intersection of technology, business, and client engagement, this is an opportunity to shape high-stakes sales cycles and accelerate enterprise data adoption.

What You’ll Do

Bridge Strategy with Technology

• Partner with enterprise prospects to uncover business challenges and align them with tailored data solutions.
• Articulate the “why” behind the modern data stack, turning technical detail into compelling business outcomes.
• Deliver hands-on demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops that inspire confidence in the consultancy’s expertise.
• Work side-by-side with account executives on client pursuits, RFP responses, and pitch decks.
• Craft proposals that integrate technical feasibility, delivery plans, and commercial value.
• Position yourself as the technical voice of authority during the sales process.

Guide Delivery Readiness

• Collaborate with delivery and engineering leaders during project scoping, estimation, and planning.
• Ensure seamless hand-offs from sales to delivery, minimizing friction and maximizing client trust.
• Track engagement milestones and resolve early-stage project issues before they escalate.

Elevate Client Engagement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across IT, data, and business leadership.
• Strengthen client relationships through ongoing consultation and solution recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to expand accounts with complementary services and offerings.
• Share insights from the field with product and marketing teams to sharpen messaging and offerings.
• Contribute to refining presales processes, methodologies, and enablement playbooks.
• Invest in your own development by staying sharp on the latest advancements in cloud, analytics, and open-source tooling.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in technical presales, sales engineering, or solution consulting within data consulting or SaaS.
• Proven success engaging enterprise clients across multiple industries.
• Technical fluency with the modern data stack:
• Data Warehousing: Snowflake, Databricks
• Open-Source: dbt (strongly preferred), Airflow
• Solid understanding of data management, analytics, and cloud architecture.
• Excellent project management instincts and the ability to juggle multiple pursuits simultaneously.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable in front of executives and technical teams alike.
• Strong track record of enabling or exceeding sales performance goals.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements and industry events.
