Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group is seeking a Sales Engineer in our Indiana facility to collaborate with the sales team, identify customer needs, and develop technical solutions in bearings and power transmission. You will translate engineering concepts into customer-focused proposals and support by providing application expertise.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, strong communication, and engagement with customers to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or 3+ years in a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of bearing types and failure modes.
• Knowledge of shaft alignment, load calculations, and lubrication principles.
• Familiar with gearboxes, motors, drives, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs through consultative selling, site visits, equipment evaluations and application analysis.
• Present technical and product solutions based on application specifications within bearing and drive solutions.
• Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations with pricing, lead times and application-specific solution proposals to support sales growth and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to design custom or modified solutions and prepare sales quotes for customers.
• Develop, review and interpret technical drawings, layouts and engineering documentation to support product selection and effective communication with customers and internal teams.
• Support customers during installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, ensuring proper product selection and performance.
• Participate in trade shows, training sessions and customer seminars to promote company capabilities and strengthen market presence
