Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Drive Product and System Specialist to plan, implement, and execute target industry Drive Product and System Solutions in Southern Indiana, Southwest Ohio, and Central Kentucky.

The role involves joint sales calls, technical support, supplier relationship management, and market analysis to drive growth across multiple markets. Strong reading of drawings and 3–5 years of drive systems experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or industry experience.
• 3–5 years of experience with industrial drive systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Make joint sales calls with field sales staff to support Electrical and Mechanical Drive Products.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Work with management to conduct opportunity analysis including geographic marketplace.
• Develop relationships with suppliers of drive products (motors, VFDs, gear reducers, soft starts).
• Evaluate internal capabilities within the geographic responsibility area.
• Conduct training for internal associates and customers.
• Assist in industry data collection and exchange of case histories and documented value-added data.
• Help set sales targets and execute the industry marketing strategy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
