Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Drive Product and System Specialist to plan, implement, and execute target industry Drive Product and System Solutions in Southern Indiana, Southwest Ohio and Central Kentucky. You will collaborate with field sales, provide technical support, and help drive market growth.

The role requires 3–5 years’ experience with industrial drive systems and the ability to read mechanical drawings; a bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred or industry-related experience.
• High School Education or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of experience with industrial drive systems.
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Make joint sales calls with field sales staff in support of Electrical and Mechanical Drive Products.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Work with internal management to conduct opportunity analysis with geographic marketplace.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers of Drive Products (motors, VFDs, gear reducers, soft starts).
• Evaluate internal capabilities within the geographic responsibility.
• Conduct training for internal associates and customers.
• Assist in development of industry data collection and documentation of value-added/applications data.
• Help set sales targets and execute the industry marketing strategy.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
