Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team, reporting to the Customer Solutions Supervisor; Key Accounts. The role blends engineering expertise with a solution selling approach to help customers improve equipment reliability and uptime.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to design custom solutions, translate technical concepts for customers, and prepare quotes while supporting installation and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or 3+ years in a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of bearing types and failure modes.
• Knowledge of shaft alignment, load calculations, and lubrication principles.
• Familiar with gearboxes, motors, drives, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs through consultative selling, site visits, equipment evaluations and application analysis
• Present technical and product solutions based on application specifications within bearing and drive solutions
• Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations, including product recommendations, pricing, lead times and application-specific solution proposals to support sales growth and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to design custom or modified solutions and prepare sales quotes for customers
• Develop, review and interpret technical drawings, layouts and engineering documentation to support product selection, custom solution design and effective communication with customers and internal teams
• Support customers during installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, ensuring proper product selection and performance
• Participate in trade shows, training sessions and customer seminars to promote company capabilities and strengthen market presence
