Job summary

Cadence Design Systems in California seeks a mid-level Solutions Engineer to help drive efficiency across back-office units including HR, Legal, Finance, and Marketing. Working across functions, you will identify practical opportunities and implement AI-assisted workflows, standard automation, or agent-based solutions.

You will prototype, test, and deploy solutions, document workflows, and partner with IT to ensure secure, maintainable handoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong Python and tooling skills for building practical automations.
• Familiarity with AI concepts including LLMs, prompts, embeddings, and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Partner with back-office teams to understand workflows and opportunities.
• Assess whether to address opportunities via automation, AI workflows, or agent-based solutions.
• Design, prototype, test, deploy, and iterate practical solutions.
• Document workflows and implementation details for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT to obtain access and enable long-term support.
• Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
