Job summary

OpenSymmetry in Austin, TX is seeking a Solution Manager to oversee client engagements and drive delivery across SPM, ICM, and related platforms. You will lead project teams, manage scope, risks, and finances, and serve as the trusted adviser to clients and stakeholders.

The role requires rapid learning of new technologies, strong problem-solving, and exceptional communication. Occasional travel and client on-site or remote work are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing technology-focused projects from kickoff through delivery.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Experience establishing executive-level communications and relationships.
• Strong command of project implementation methodologies for enterprise deployments.
• Proven problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis.
• Ability to influence and gain acceptance in sensitive situations.
• Ability to quickly assess and communicate project risks to management.
• Excellent customer advocacy and relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology-focused projects from kickoff through delivery, serving as the primary contact and trusted advisor for clients.
• Enforce quality assurance standards across deliverables throughout the system development life cycle.
• Manage project scope, client change requests, and risks, ensuring client satisfaction and project stability.
• Identify and resolve project challenges using problem-solving techniques to meet client goals.
• Ensure compliance with OpenSymmetry’s PM methodology and provide comprehensive status updates on financials, risks, and milestones.
• Own and manage project financials: forecasting, budgeting, profitability, billing, invoicing, and reporting.
• Mediate internal resource or software issues and align cross-functional teams on priorities.
• Act as PM to manage support and service delivery contracts and meet revenue/cost projections.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and coordinate governance meetings.
• Lead project teams, mentor members, and foster a collaborative client-focused environment.
• Support pre-sale activities: proposals, change requests, sales presentations, and SOW review.
