Job Overview:

The Solution Consultant is an Individual Contributor anchored to our Coursera for Campus Enterprise vertical and responsible for advising leaders of educational institutions on transforming the quality of learning and outcomes their institutions offer, and especially how curriculum integration with Coursera can help achieve their goals. In this role, you will work closely with the Enterprise Sales and Customer Success teams to interact with a range of C4C customers to:

    • Advance Coursera’s efforts to establish partnerships with educational customers involving for-credit curriculum integration.
    • Understand their educational objectives and strategy.
    • Engage decision-makers, faculty, and operational leaders on how Coursera can help them achieve their mission and needs today and tomorrow, especially for integrating Coursera into their curricula.
    • Design learning programs and curriculum implementation strategies (demoing our product where relevant). Lead workshops to demonstrate how faculty can integrate micro-credentials into academic programs and curriculum, and build for-credit pathways.
You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful decision-making, implementation, and adoption of solutions, especially with respect to curriculum integration, and will serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the customer journey. You will have access to the full Coursera catalogue to develop expertise in key skill areas important to higher education, and when needed, governments and businesses, and along the way, you will become an expert in the Coursera product.

In addition, you will work cross-functionally as needed with Product, Marketing, Data Science, and Services to support the company’s broader strategic initiatives. This will include influencing Coursera’s go-to-market strategy, providing feedback for future product development and content sourcing, and representing Coursera as a speaker at conferences, webinars, and other events. This role is ideal for someone who can excel as an advisor to educational institutions, is passionate about the impact of learning to transform lives, and enjoys working with cross-functional teams within a fast-moving company on a mission to transform lives through education.

Responsibilities:

  • Advancing Coursera’s efforts to establish partnerships with educational customers involving for-credit curriculum integration will be a major focus of this role.
  • Presenting to institutional leadership on implementation strategies, and leading discovery sessions with faculty on how-to approaches to understand their goals, challenges, and needs, and developing and presenting proposals, business cases, and other materials to demonstrate the value of Coursera solutions in advancing Coursera’s for-credit curriculum integration and its implementation. (At least 25% travel expected).
  • Design and deliver innovative learning solutions with Coursera’s content and product capabilities that align with customer needs. This will include developing program and course-level curriculum integration models and templates, and mapping micro-credentials into academic programs.
  • Serve as a thought leader for Coursera and customers: generate new knowledge and best practices, and conduct external workshops, conference presentations, webinars, and training sessions to share knowledge and promote Coursera offerings, especially for educational institutions.
  • Collaborate with functional and regional leadership on initiatives to scale adoption of curriculum integration, which may include things like case studies, faculty spotlights, and train-the-trainer support models.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Coursera’s Product, Data, Content, and Credentials, and Marketing teams to help improve and shape the direction of our content, product, and positioning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in curriculum integration, especially involving higher education institutions, learning and development, consulting, advisory, and/or program design in education, workforce development, business transformation, or related industry.
  • Demonstrated history of customer-facing work with educational institutions, especially universities and other higher education institutions.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and solve complex problems, and to develop and deliver solutions that meet client needs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data to inform the design of solutions and inform strategic decision making.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key trends and research informing the future of work and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience that will provide high credibility in speaking with higher education institutions about curriculum integration and partnership with a partner like Coursera.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the education/workforce/skills/business transformation space
