Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Solution Architect to design and govern end-to-end technology solutions across underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, and distribution. You will lead architecture strategy for a multi-platform program, bridging business needs with technical delivery and enterprise standards.

Hybrid work with two days in-office weekly is required. The role requires deep insurance domain knowledge, strong technical leadership, and experience with integrations and core

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution, systems, or enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of P&C or Commercial insurance operations (policy lifecycle, claims, billing).
• Experience with Core Insurance Platforms.
• Demonstrated practice of architecture principles and patterns.
• Strong communication, storytelling and presentation skills; able to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Interact with technical engineers and Senior Executives; tailor communication to stakeholder needs.
• Own architecture strategy and communicate it to the project team; convey risks, options and impact.
• Create architectural artifacts (As-Is, Transformation, End-State) and defend before Architecture Review Boards.
• Ensure artifacts align with current implementations and future changes.
• Coordinate downstream integrations (Reporting, Document Production, Finance) as the platform evolves.
• Engage business domain experts to use domain language and drive solution concepts across teams.
