Job summary

Extreme Networks, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer (SE) to drive technical strategy across the sales lifecycle.

You will partner with Account Executives, design secure networking architectures, deliver demos/POCs, and guide customers through complex solutions including wired, wireless, security, and cloud-managed platforms. The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years in related roles, strong consulting skills, and the ability to influence decisions in competitive environments.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in systems engineering, pre-sales, or related tech roles.
• Expertise in switching, routing, wireless, and security.
• Able to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience presenting to customers, demos, and workshops.
• Strong troubleshooting and multi-priority management.
• Certifications CCNP or CWNP preferred; cloud networking exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or CS, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to drive sales strategies.
• Design secure, scalable networking architectures aligned to customer needs.
• Deliver presentations, demos, and POCs.
• Provide consultative guidance across wired, wireless, security, and cloud.
• Support evaluations and competitive differentiation.
• Develop proposals, RFP responses, and architecture docs.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to customers and partners.
• Coordinate with product management for field feedback.
• Assist post-sales to ensure customer success.
