Job Description

We are seeking a Solutions Architect experienced in deploying and managing AWS cloud infrastructure within the Life Sciences sector. You will work on complex customer challenges, collaborating with clients, sales teams, and partners to deliver solutions. Your role includes developing strategies, leading architecture design, and overseeing project execution to establish and operate cloud IT infrastructure in line with industry best practices. While overseeing teams and acting as an escalation point, you will also be hands-on in deploying solutions and troubleshooting. The cloud landscape is constantly evolving, and your expertise will help distinguish valuable tools from hype.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pre-sales activities such as requirement gathering and scoping.
• Performing needs assessments and delivering proposals and statements of work.
• Presenting solution options and discussing their impacts.
• Designing, implementing, and deploying solutions.
• Guiding clients on industry best practices.
• Reviewing existing architectures and creating documentation.
• Delegating tasks and reviewing team output.
• Serving as an escalation point for support issues.
• Troubleshooting operational issues.
• Ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in Solution Architecture or Cloud Infrastructure Deployment.
• Expertise in large cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification.
• Experience creating proof of concepts and demonstrations.
• Ability to develop and evangelize technology solutions and roadmaps.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Expert troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
• Experience with AWS Parallel Cluster, Ansible, and related tools.

Additional:

• Knowledge of GxP systems support.
• Experience supporting Slurm clusters.
• Proficiency in Python, R, shell scripting, and version control tools.
