Seeking a talented Software Architect to join the Application Development team. This role will design and oversee the development of high-performing, scalable software systems, with a focus on database architecture, analytics, and data integration. The Software Architect will provide technical leadership for SQL Server database development, data analytics, and integration technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational technology infrastructure and business strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Define and document scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures using Microsoft technologies.
2. Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, including schema design, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
3. Design and implement analytics solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and other BI tools.
4. Manage data integration workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other ETL tools.
5. Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions leveraging Microsoft tools and frameworks (.NET).
6. Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
7. Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, and development workflows tailored to the Microsoft stack.
8. Oversee integration with third-party services, APIs, and legacy systems using Microsoft integration tools.
9. Monitor and fine-tune application and database performance for responsiveness and reliability.
10. Design secure architectures leveraging Microsoft security best practices to protect sensitive data and systems.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in software development.
• Minimum 3 years in a Software Architect or Lead Engineer role.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in C#, Core, .NET Framework, and .NET 6+.
• Deep expertise in SQL Server, including schema design, database normalization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with writing and optimizing complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Implementing BI and analytics solutions using SSRS, SSAS, and related tools.
• Experience with Entity Framework and LINQ.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Octopus.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Web APIs, and microservices architecture in a Microsoft environment.
