Job summary

Jobtailor in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, is seeking a developer to translate business needs into SAP MII/UI5 designs and build front-end interfaces. You will support back-end services, APIs, and integrations while aligning with established architecture.

You will participate in requirements, design discussions, and solution reviews, perform unit testing and assist UAT, and ensure quality delivery with collaboration across QA and senior architects.

Job description

• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs for SAP MII/UI5 applications
• Develop and maintain front-end interfaces using UI5 and support back-end services, APIs, and integrations
• Contribute to solution design decisions within defined scope and established architecture standards
• Support integrations across enterprise and manufacturing platforms, including ERP, MES, and PLC systems
• Own and deliver assigned application project components from development through deployment
• Participate in requirements gathering, design discussions, and solution reviews
• Execute unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Identify and elevate risks, issues, and dependencies
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
• Support system enhancements to improve performance, scalability, and usability
• Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and development standards
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand workflows and translate needs into technical solutions
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and senior architects to ensure quality delivery
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in application development, systems support, or related technical roles
• Experience working with web-based applications or enterprise systems (academic or professional)
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
• Working knowledge of SAP MII and/or SAP UI5 development (or similar application frameworks)
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with XML and related web technologies/frameworks
• Exposure to backend development concepts, APIs, and system integrations
• Basic understanding of databases (SQL preferred)
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to adapt to workplace challenges, maintain professionalism, and manage responsibilities effectively
• Ability to clearly and professionally exchange ideas and interact respectfully with colleagues and customers
