Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a SAP-focused professional to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will recommend SAP solutions, oversee deliverables, and coordinate with architects to shape future-state capabilities.

You will support release readiness, testing, and deployments, while guiding outsourced IT partners and driving continuous improvement within the SAP ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Hands-on SAP experience preferred.
• Experience translating technical concepts for leadership audiences.
• Experience in an Agile continuous delivery environment.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience learning new technologies and business processes quickly.
• Experience supporting system enhancements, incident management, and application support activities.
• Knowledge of SAP integration concepts across functional modules.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into SAP functional and technical specifications.
• Recommend SAP solutions and process improvements aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee deliverable quality and change control, release and transport management schedules.
• Engage with enterprise architecture and solution architects to define future-state technology capabilities.
• Support release readiness activities and deployment execution.
• Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and IT Shared Services Architects
• Participate in product and agile ceremonies.
• Provide guidance to outsourced IT partners for application administration, development, configuration, escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help coordinate organizational change to drive adoption and maximize solution effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to development standards and procedures within SAP.
• Support integration testing and validation of interfaces between SAP and non-SAP apps.
• Manage communications among cross-functional stakeholders as an active agile team member.

• Oversee deliverable quality and adherence to change control processes and release and transport management schedules


• Engage with enterprise architecture and solution architects to define future-state technology capabilities and strategic solutions


• Support release readiness activities and deployment execution


• Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing


• Collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and Information Technology Shared Services Architects


• Participate in product and agile team ceremonies


• Provide guidance to outsourced Information Technology partners for application administration, development, configuration, escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Ensure adherence to development standards and established procedures within the SAP environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field


• Hands-on SAP experience preferred


• Experience relating technical and business concepts to leadership audiences


• Experience working in an Agile continuous delivery environment


• Experience using Jira and Confluence


• Experience learning new technologies and business processes quickly
  
• Experience supporting system enhancements, incident management, and application support activities


• Knowledge of SAP integration concepts and interactions across functional modules


• Experience working with a managed Information Technology service organization, including onshore and offshore teams


• Preference will be given to candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship either now or in the future


• Must work in the office 3 days per week
