Job summary

Itron in Chicago seeks a Solutions Architect to design, document, and deliver end-to-end software solutions that enable utility digital transformation and align with customer objectives and ecosystems.

You will partner with customers, Product, Engineering, and Operations to create scalable architectures, APIs, and integration plans, while traveling 30-40% to implement and support projects.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years designing, implementing, or architecting complex enterprise software solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong foundation in software architecture, systems integration, cloud technologies, and enterprise applications.
• Experience translating business needs into actionable solution designs.
• Ability to build authentic relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand goals, environments, and requirements through workshops.
• Translate needs into scalable and sustainable solution recommendations.
• Design end-to-end software solutions integrating with existing systems and data environments.
• Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution documentation.
• Architect and support API-based integrations and enterprise system architectures.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to deliver value and drive adoption.
• Create architecture diagrams, specifications, and implementation artifacts.
• Ensure solution quality and customer satisfaction from design to delivery.
