Job summary

Itron is seeking a Senior Manager, Head of Implementation to guide software delivery for utility and energy customers. Lead a multidisciplinary team across architecture, project management, testing, training and deployment, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and measurable outcomes throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software implementation, professional services, consulting, solution architecture, project delivery, enterprise software, or technology services.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional, customer-facing delivery teams.
• Experience delivering end-to-end customer implementations with measurable outcomes.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software solutions, systems integration, and implementation methodologies.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and executives.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to travel 30-40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary implementation and delivery team (Solution Architects, Project Managers, Testing, Training, Deployment) to deliver successful customer implementations.
• Provide strategic leadership across the full customer implementation lifecycle including solution design, planning, testing, training, deployment, adoption, and value realization.
• Oversee delivery, ensuring alignment with goals, contracts, timelines, budgets, and business objectives.
• Advise customers on implementation strategies, change management, and business process transformation.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, Support to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
• Set delivery priorities, allocate resources, and optimize capacity across engagements.
• Drive continuous improvement in methodologies, testing, deployment processes, and operational effectiveness.
• Monitor delivery performance using key metrics and promote accountability.
• Identify and manage delivery risks and escalations with transparency.
• Promote inclusive culture and scalable delivery models to support growth.
