Job summary

Itron is seeking a Senior Manager – Head of Implementation in Chicago to lead a multidisciplinary delivery team across solution architecture, project management, testing, training and deployment. You’ll guide adoption, transformation and measurable outcomes for utility and energy customers.

Engage with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage budgets, timelines and deployment quality while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with strong business/technical acumen.
• 10+ years in software implementation, professional services, or technology delivery.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional, customer-facing teams.
• Experience managing end-to-end customer implementations with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across large programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary implementation and delivery team.
• Provide strategic leadership across the full customer implementation lifecycle.
• Oversee delivery of customer implementations within budgets and timelines.
• Act as trusted advisor on implementation strategies, adoption, and change management.
• Guide complex software implementations and system integrations for utilities/energy.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Support.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, and optimize capacity across engagements.
• Drive continuous improvement in methodologies, testing, deployment, and training.
• Monitor delivery performance with metrics and customer satisfaction indicators.
• Identify risks and escalations early; navigate to successful resolution.
• Foster a customer-centric, accountable, agile and collaborative culture.
• Develop scalable delivery models and best practices for growth.
• Support DEI initiatives and provide growth opportunities for team members.
