Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking an Electric Solution Consultant to partner with Account Executives in supporting utility opportunities.

You will lead discovery with Electric customers, define customer-centric solutions, and deliver tailored demonstrations while aligning with Resiliency Solutions product direction. The role requires deep Electric utility expertise, strong consulting and collaboration skills, and willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in roles like Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or related positions in enterprise SaaS.
• Experience with utility organizations and customer-facing technical sales activities.
• Strong understanding of Electric utility construction, field operations, and asset/work management processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead discovery sessions, workshops, assessments, and PoCs.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery engagements with Electric utility customers to understand objectives, challenges, workflows, and success criteria.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable solution recommendations aligned with product capabilities.
• Create solution descriptions, technical proposals, and responses for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and procurement activities.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations and coordinate PoCs and trial programs with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer needs, market trends, and product direction.
• Support development of demo environments, use cases, and customer-facing materials.
