Job summary

Databricks is seeking Solutions Architects to lead customer engagements around the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. You will partner with customers, teammates, product teams, and partners to design architectures, run proofs of concepts, and guide deployments that deliver meaningful business outcomes.

The role requires 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with expertise in big-data technologies, cloud platforms, and data warehousing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with big-data tech experience
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems
• Proficient in at least one language: Python/SQL/Scala/Java/R
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with Spark/Hadoop/Kafka for data engineering
• Experience with SQL/OLTP/OLAP data warehousing

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand Databricks benefits
• Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks
• Consult on big data architecture and run proofs of concept
• Build and present reference architectures and tutorials
• Promote open source projects across developer communities
• Travel to meet customers in your territory
