Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Business Development Manager - Solutions Architect to drive growth of Emerson's engineered solutions business across North America.

You will partner with customers, EPCs, and sales teams to identify opportunities, develop technical solutions, influence project specifications, and secure capital projects, focusing on custody transfer metering, process analytical systems, and lifecycle services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7+ years in technical business development, solutions architecture, or capital project pursuits.
• Knowledge of custody transfer metering, process analytical systems, instrumentation and controls.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop customer-focused solutions and pursuit strategies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Deliver business performance that meets or exceeds orders and sales commitments.
• Drive bookings, pipeline growth, and market share for engineered solutions and services.
• Develop and pursue opportunities for metering, analytical, and monitoring system solutions.
• Engage customers and EPCs early in the project lifecycle to influence specifications and solution selection.
• Develop differentiated technical solutions that deliver customer value and business growth.
• Lead or support strategic project pursuits and proposal development.
• Identify lifecycle service, upgrade, digitalization, and recurring revenue opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate across sales, engineering, operations, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Participate in local related professional societies, key technical conferences, and trade shows.
